Diploma in Textile Engineering Admission Circular 2020 under the Department of Textiles has been published. Admission Notice will be published within a short time. Diploma in Textile Admission Notice
There are 7 textile institutes run by the Department of Textiles under the Ministry of Textiles and Jute. In these institutes, students are admitted for 4 years Diploma in Textile Engineering and Diploma in Jute Technology courses.
The textile institutes are Shahid Abdur Rob Serniabat Textile Institute (Barisal), Tangail Textile Institute, Dinajpur Textile Institute, Rangpur Textile Institute, Natore Textile Institute, Chittagong Textile Institute, and Khulna Textile Institute. Of these textile institutes, only Tangail Textile Institute has a Diploma in Jute Technology. The rest have only Diploma in Textile Technology.
The total number of seats in different textile institutes is 1000. The total number of seats in the Tangail Textile Institute is 200. There are 100 seats in Diploma in Textile Technology and 100 seats in Diploma in Jute Technology.
Dinajpur Textile Institute has a total of 200 seats including 100 in 1st shift and 100 in 2nd shift. The rest of the textile institutes have 120 seats each.

To apply for Diploma in Textile Engineering and Diploma in Jute Technology, one has to pass SSC / Dakhil / SSC (Vocational) / Dakhil (Vocational) / equivalent examination from any Education Board of Bangladesh or Bangladesh Open University. Applicants must pass SSC and equivalent exams in 2020, 2019, or 2018.
The male applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 including 3.00 in General Mathematics or Higher Mathematics. The admission of females should be at least a GPA of 3.00 with a GPA of 3.00 in General Mathematics or Higher Mathematics. “O” level students must have at least a “C” grade in any one subject and at least a “D” grade in any two subjects, including math.
Admission to Diploma in Textile Engineering and Diploma in Jute Technology can be applied only through Teletalk. The application can be completed by paying the application fee of Tk 330 through Teletalk. Detailed admission guidelines can be found on the website dot.gov.bd.
