Diploma in Marine Engineering Admission Circular 2020
The Diploma in Marine Engineering is a 4 years engineering course. This is a course conducted by the Bureau of Manpower Training and Employment BMET under Bangladesh Technical Education Board. The two technologies included in the Diploma in Marine Engineering are the Diploma in Marine Technology and the Diploma in Shipbuilding Technology.
There are a total of 6 Marine Institutes in Bangladesh. These six Marine Institutes have a Diploma in Marine Technology. The marine institutes are Narayanganj Institute of Marine Technology, Faridpur Institute of Marine Technology, Bagerhat Institute of Marine Technology, Sirajganj Institute of Marine Technology, Chandpur Institute of Marine Technology and Munshiganj Institute of Marine Technology. Trade courses are available only at Narayanganj Institute of Marine Technology.

To apply for the 4 years term course conducted by BMET, the applicant has to pass SSC / Dakhil / SSC (Vocational) / Dakhil (Vocational) / equivalent examination in 2020, 2019 or 2018 under all the education boards of the country or Bangladesh Open University.
Admission for boys should be at least GPA 3.50 with a GPA of 3.00 in General Mathematics or Higher Mathematics. Admission of girls should have a minimum GPA of 3.00 including GPA 3.00 in General Mathematics or Higher Mathematics. Candidates who have passed the “O” level can also apply.
To apply online, first, the applicant has to pay Tk. 150 through Rocket / SureCash / bKash. After paying the money, filled up the application form with the required information through the btebadmission.gov.bd. The applicant’s photo must be uploaded at the time of application. GMTA must be used as the application code when paying the application fee.
Application Fees Payment (by Rocket):
Step-1: To get Rocket’s menu, dial *322# and select Bill Pay.
Step-2: If it is your own rocket account, select Self / If it is another rocket account, select Others and give a mobile number.
Step-3: Select Others for Biller ID.
Step-4: Input Biller ID (220).
Step-5: Enter <Program Code> <Pass Year> <Board Code> in Bill No (no space required).
Step-6: Give SSC Roll No.
Step-6: Enter 150 takas in Amount.
Step-6: Provide PIN Number of Rocket Account.
Step-9: Successful SMS will be displayed when the payment is completed. Save the Transaction ID displayed in the SMS.
